Building Blocks Therapy Services is dedicated to providing high quality therapy services to children ages birth - 3 who are enrolled in the Illinois Early Intervention System.

When a child is not meeting his/her developmental milestones or has a diagnosis that may impact his/her development, therapy services may be beneficial to help facilitate learning and to provide parent education to help that child reach his/her fullest potential. As a parent, you are your child’s most influential teacher and have the most impact on your child’s development. Building Blocks Therapy Services prides itself on building on the strengths of the family and being a partner with the family to help their child grow and develop.

Services for your child and family are based on your individual needs, concerns and priorities related to enhancing your child’s development as written in your Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). The IFSP is developed by you, your team of therapists, and your service coordinator. It outlines the goals you have for your child and contains strategies on how the goals are going to be reached. These goals are routinely monitored to assess progress and are updated as needed.

Children are the most comfortable in their natural environment. Therefore, therapy services are provided in the home or daycare setting. Therapy is play-based and involves the parents/caregivers. Parents/Caregivers are encouraged to be active participants during therapy so they become familiar with therapeutic interventions and have opportunity to practice strategies and ask questions.
